We’re in the News! 12th November 2010

On the night of 11th November 2010 we got a call to come to the aid of the Emergency services in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. Although our working day was done we were able to respond quickly and were on site within 30 minutes. Police and the fire brigade had evacuated a 50 meter area around a very old Veteran Elm tree. The tree had lost one of its very large branches crashing through a neighbouring garden and destroying a garage and damaging a conservatory.

Upon arriving on site we were briefed by emergency services. They needed advice them as to whether it was safe for the local residents to return to their houses. After a visual inspection both on the ground and a climbed inspection it was decided that the remainder of the tree still standing hadn’t been compromised by loosing the limb.
