At Rose Tree Care we recycle 100% of our waste at our own Environment Agency registered facility. From woodchip to stumps and timber we take our environmental responsibility seriously.
We can also assist other contractors in recycling green waste. We can collect green waste from civil sites and landscaping projects and return to our yard for recycling.
We create 3 main waste streams
Woodchip
Where possible, we chip all woody material on site using our range of wood chippers. The woodchip is then stored at our yard and, once sufficient quantities are accumulated it is sent to power stations where it is used to generate renewable energy.
Woodchip is brought back to our yard either in our vans from smaller jobs or by lorry from larger projects. We also supply woodchip in bulk to allotments and gardens.
In addition, we can remove woodchip from site for other contractors, or provide a hook-loader skip for you to load with woodchip or timber.
Green Waste
Anything we’re unable to chip on site is transported back to our yard in our own lorries.
This material can include vegetation such as ivy, mechanically removed shrubs, and other green waste that is often contaminated with soil and small stones. We also recycle roots and stumps excavated from civil engineering sites, as well as from our own landscaping projects.
All material is brought back to our yard and stockpiled. Once sufficient quantities are accumulated, it is shredded, with the resulting product sent to power stations for use in renewable energy generation.
If you’re a contractor looking to have green waste removed from site, we can supply hook-loader skips for you to load, or arrange collection and removal for recycling. For larger volumes, on-site recycling can also be provided.

Wood and Timber Recycling
Oversized wood and timber is returned to our yard.
Quality Hardwoods are graded out and sold to Firewood processors.
Poor quality species such as Poplar, Willow and Softwoods are chipped and those wood chippings are sent for Biomass and renewable energy.
We can also mill timber either on site or back at our yard which we re-use in our landscaping projects.

Do you need Green Waste Collections?
We can collect green waste, timber logs or wood chip with our grab lorry.
We can self load all types of waste and return to our site to be recycled.
Our grab lorry is compact for residential sites or tight locations and we are happy to collect from tree surgery companies, local authorities, landscapers, etc
