At Rose Tree Care Ltd, we specialise in retail landscaping, tree, and vegetation projects.
For this particular job, one of our long term retail clients was dealing with persistent antisocial behaviour in an area of their inner-city store.
Drug use, graffiti, and general misuse of the space were causing ongoing issues and, understandably, putting customers off returning.
We met with the site team to discussa full range of options to improve the area and make it feel safer and more welcoming. We created a full and clear scope of works for the client with detailed costings and options.
The project began with removing overgrown bushes and vegetation that were encouraging litter build-up and antisocial behaviour. We then crown lifted all the trees to improve visibility and allow better coverage from existing CCTV cameras.
To further transform the space, we removed graffiti from surrounding buildings to help the area feel cared for and well maintained. Low-maintenance surfacing was installed to reduce weed growth, and a palisade fence was added to discourage people from congregating in the space.
The result was a cleaner, brighter, and more secure area that customers and staff can feel comfortable using again.
