We were tasked with removing a large mature Beech tree that was slowly succumbing to the tree decaying fungi Ganoderma. The tree also had a large included union (split), meaning that a substantial portion of the tree was liable to fail. Unfortunately due to the trees proximity to a historic building the decision was made to fell it.
As the stability of the tree was significantly compromised due to a large cavity created by Ganoderma, we opted to remove the tree using a 46 meter access platform to safely remove the tree without damage to any of the surrounding buildings.
Timber was stacked on site for utilisation by the homeowner.
