A lovely job in the sun for Kettering Cricket Club, these trees had previously been “topped” and as any good tree surgeon knows, a topped Poplar is only ever going to rot. And boy did these rot, some of the stems were as hollow as a drum with timber disintegrating in our timber grab.
Fortunately, thanks to a recommendation of our services from Kettering Borough Council, we came to the rescue to remove these rotting trees before they fell (some already had) and hurt a user of the facility.
Using our digger we easily pulled the stems over, chipped what little green was on them and stacked the timber for removal by lorry. This efficient mechanised way of working meant that the work was completed for a competitive price saving the club vital funds.
